I’m Rushita, and Nava Beauty was created from my passion for helping people look and feel their most confident. I’m a certified beauty therapist, trained in both India and New Zealand, which gives me a unique blend of traditional techniques and modern professional skills.
Growing up in India, I was surrounded by colour, creativity, and a love for beauty. After moving to New Zealand eight years ago, I continued my journey by completing professional beauty therapy training here, gaining the experience and confidence to start something of my own.
Nava Beauty is a reflection of my heart — a space where clients are treated with care, honesty, and personalised attention. Every treatment is done with precision and passion, combining the rich beauty knowledge from my Indian roots with advanced New Zealand training.
My goal is simple: to help you relax, feel valued, and walk out looking beautifully refreshed and confident.
Reshma’s Journey: From Dreams to Nava Beauty
I’m Reshma, and New Zealand has been my home for over 18 years—a place where I grew as a mother, a financial adviser, and an entrepreneur. I moved here from Mumbai with big dreams and no clear roadmap, but a strong belief that I would rise.
Nava Beauty is one of those dreams.
I’m not a beauty therapist, but I’ve always been drawn to the confidence and joy that beauty brings. I wanted to create a space where people feel cared for, welcomed, and valued.
Over the years, I’ve built multiple businesses, supported others on their financial journeys, and embraced leadership roles that connect me to people from all walks of life.
Partnering with my friend Rushita—an experienced beauty therapist—helped turn that vision into reality. Her skill and my passion for building meaningful businesses came together to create Nava Beauty: a fresh, warm, modern salon for the Christchurch community.

The name “Nava” means new, fresh, and pure- from indian ancient literature, a reflection of what we aim to bring to every client experience. Each visit is an invitation to refresh your mind, renew your glow, and rediscover confidence in your own skin.
Nava started because we thought self-care should never feel tricky or intimidating. We wanted a place that felt welcoming, where you could walk in a little frazzled and walk out feeling mint.
